New Service Between Campbell River (YBL) and Bella Bella (ZEL)

(Richmond BC) Pacific Coastal Airlines is pleased to announce the addition of a new regularly scheduled service between Campbell River (YBL Airport) and Bella Bella (ZEL Airport) effective Monday, December 2, 2013.

A Beechcraft 1900 aircraft will provide service once a day, three days a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The plane is scheduled to depart Vancouver International Airport's South Terminal (YVR) at 0930 for Campbell River, depart Campbell River at 1030, and arrive at Bella Bella at 1130.

The return flight is scheduled to depart Bella Bella at 1415, depart Campbell River at 1545, and arrive at Vancouver Airport's South Terminal at 1625.

"This connection is an important new social and economic link providing residents of Bella Bella and the surrounding area with better access to services on Vancouver Island," says Pacific Coastal Airlines' Vice President of Commercial Services Spencer Smith. "It is also a quick, convenient, and affordable transportation option for companies conducting business between the two regions".

In addition to the Beechcraft 1900, the airline will base its de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otter seaplane in Bella Bella to support the new service, providing connections to Klemtu, Ocean Falls, and other points in the area.

Announcement of the Campbell River to Bella Bella route follows Pacific Coastal Airlines' recently announced service from Cranbrook-Kelowna which begins Monday, November 18 and its new direct flight between Cranbrook and Victoria which began on October 2, 2013.
