 Construction:

YBL is undergoing upgrades in 2010. We are extending the runway to 6500 feet (from 5000 ft) and modernizing the terminal building. The airport is open and operational throughout the construction period. Construction on the runway began July 12th.  The runway threshold will be reduced to 4000ft during construction hours: Monday to Saturday from 7am-5pm, beginning July 12th, 2010. The threshold will be returned to 5000 feet each day after construction stops, and will remain at 5000 feet until work commences again. It will stay at 5000 feet all day on Sundays. Pilots should check related NOTAM for full details.
